This Series..

This series means a lot to me, and I cannot wait to see how I will learn, grow and change as I pursue ancient truths, by reincarnating these often forgotten myths.
I truly appreciate any support I get for this, and I can't wait to keep creating.
This is only the beginning..

Tomek Sosnowski is an award winning sculptor and makeup effects artist working out of Vancouver, Canada.
Tomek has spent the better part of the last 15 years working in Film and TV. Here he learned the skills he uses to render the creations he makes now.
Recently though, Tomek has embarked on journey of re connecting with his Slavic( Polish) heritage through creating depictions of Slavic Mythological dieties.
Having always been enamored and inspired by the folklore and fairy tales he heard as a kid, Tomek used that creative energy to dive deeper into the history, mythology and stories of his ancient ancestors. Realizing that there was an entire world of distinctly Slavic myth and magic to explore, with incredible characters who don't see much light in popular media.
This series is all about honoring who and where you came from, connection to the self and furthermore those around you. Finding commonality in eachother through story.
It must be stated that due to the aggressive christianization of the Slavic world, there is very little proper source material left to study. Therfore everything we know is an interpretation or a reconstruction. All creations made in this series are made with utmost respect for what these beings may mean to someone culturally or spiritually.
Tomek is a traditional sculptor and uses primarily oil bases clay to create the orginal clay model before the finished sculpture is molded and cast in bronze coated resin.
